She worked freelance and served as an editor-in-chief of her University newspaper. Plestia captured the hearts of the international world when the genocide began in Gaza. She began reporting on the atrocities that were taking place in Gaza. Plestia left us with a hard but understandable message that after 46 days that she will be departing from Gaza as her presence was now becoming a threat. She now resides in Australia with her family, where she continues to talk about Gaza and Palestine at length.
