AFFLATUS HIJAB

This piece is named after Jasmine Duncan who runs SNK Events. SNK Events has been around for three years and is a full-service event company, certified and based in Edmonton. They focus primarily on social events, project management and conferences/workshops. They have a passion for coordinating, crafting and bringing your vision to fruition. When we asked Jasmine why she started this business she explained that for as long as she can remember she has always loved entertaining. Being able to take a vision and turn it into a reality through sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch makes her soul smile. She started her business to create memories and see people smile. When asked Jasmine if she faced any obstacles as a woman of color and just running a small business in general she explained she has experienced all of the above. The biggest obstacles she has faced are the microaggressions, lack of representation and biases. She has realized that she might not be able to change the world around her without changing her views and mindsets around these issues, educating those who want to learn and educating herself. When asked what advice she would give to women who want to start their own business she explained to create a stable and S.M.A.R.T. foundation. Choose your inner circle wisely, be kind to yourself, and ask for help and always remember your “Why.”

What we love about this coat is the length and the color. The other great feature about this coat is how much room it gives. If you wanted to wear a thick sweater underneath it would allow for that. The model is wearing a size small.
