We named this piece after Calina Lawrence. she is a singer and activist. She is a member of the Squamish Tribe. She advocates for Native treaty rights. She has supported the “Mni Wiconi” (Water is life) movement.
These shirts are amazing and a lot of people bought them for their practicality. We know a lot of women shied away from these pieces initially because they wanted them to be longer, so we listened and made them a lot longer than our original piece.
